Today’s bets include:
OAK 1.95 $10
WAS 1.75 $10

I may be on the A’s today regardless of the system tracking, simply because they are getting almost 2-1 against a young 2nd year pitcher. The A’s are no juggernaut at the plate but put up an average of over 3.5 runs per game in the young season.

The other young 2nd year pitcher I want to keep an eye on tonight is Alex Manoah for the Toronto Blue Jays and his ability to keep the Yankees in the park. The Blue Jays are trying to win this season with offense, but the Rockies have taught us that offense alone is not a winning formula.

Finally, a very important early season matchup in SF vs the SD Padres is the last game on the slate tonight. Alex Wood’s first start of the season coming off of an impressive post season, can he continue his dominance and spring the Giants into an early season lead in the West. He may have an advantage tonight since the Padres did not appear to see him in the rotation last year.
