Second Year Players Having a Day!

One of my favorite things to watch that involves the Hobby of Trading Cards, Fantasy Sports, and Sports Betting is a day when young players go off in their respective games. The reason I like to see these days is because usually only people who are in depth with cards and Fantasy sports see progressions from Rookie to potential superstar.

Anthony Edwards: We have seen his potential come out in the past week including: the last full regular season game, the play-in game a few days ago, and the Saturday Game 1 vs. Memphis where he began to show the meddle of a budding superstar. Was anyone outside the Collector/Fantasy Sports community giving Minnesota a chance in this series? The answer is NO! 97% of the reported handle is on Memphis to advance to the next round of the playoffs and it is likely that most of the remaining 3% are hedges or Fans. I have seen this progression and now believe it is too late to get his cards and his fantasy value cheap moving forward. Not that his rookie cards were cheap before, but if he knocks out Morant that will pop them to another level.

Next up is Tyrese Maxey: This guy just went for 38 points in a first round playoff game with Harden and Embiid on his team. I tell you the fans of the 76ers should be thankful that Ben Simmons went all snowflake on them and left, because it gave this guy the necessary time early in this season to gain all this confidence, but also gain the trust of his teammates. This feels like one of those game that Klay, Steph, or KD could have had during their big 3 run in the late 2010s where the one who is hot gets the feed all night and they go off.

Finally Cristian Pache hit a go-ahead homerun for the Oakland A’s tonight to beat the heavily favored Toronto Blue Jays and keep them tied with the Astros on top of the AL West. If he can take advantage of this opportunity in Oakland he may be able to shed some of the disappointment of his time in Atlanta and become a worth while player. Mostly I am going to keep and eye on him because he is only 23 and has lot of room to grow.
