2022 Bowman Baseball

Bowman baseball is back and the number of 1st Bowman cards for this year’s class is awesome. 87 of the 150 cards featured in the prospects checklist are 1st Bowman cards, which gives us a large number of player’s to hold and follow for the next few years. The bigger names for this checklist include: Kahlil Watson, James Wood, and Colson Montgomery and as we find and possibly hold/grade cards of these players we cannot discount some of the other player who may have hidden value. One in particular is Jack Suwinski. He has his 1st Bowman card in this product and is already in the Show. In fact, he already has 4 bombs and getting regular playing time in right field. I guess when you are in a recently bad organization (Pirates) you can find opportunity. He is not the only player from this list to have already made their MLB debut, but is clearly the most successful. Simon Muzziotti debut in April but only managed a 1-7 (.143) start and then was optioned back to AA a week later.

Another aspect of this product that I find intriguing is the list of chrome 1st autographs including players like Bryan Acuna who do not have a base paper or chrome 1st card. This makes this form of the Bowman 1st more interesting because of the rarity hidden on this checklist. I am clearly making an assumption that these are SP.
